Apples ripening on a tree, showing red and green fruit, with green leaves and sunlight.

Lord Lambourne was raised by the Laxtons Brothers Ltd in 1907 in Bedford, England. Its parents are James Grieve and Worcester Pearmain and it is a holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Lord Lambourne is a high-quality dessert apple which is no longer produced commercially. The tree size is slightly smaller than average and is partially self-fertile. Pollination partners are in Group 2. It crops well and apples can be picked from late September and will keep for a couple of months.

The apples have a greenish yellow skin, flushed with orange and red. The flesh is creamy white and quite crisp with a slightly acidic full flavour. The apples become sweeter as they reach peak ripeness.
